The electric pickups promise an explosion of launches around the world. Traditional brands and new companies converge in a trend that is here to stay.

Electric vehicles have become a trend and pick ups are no exception.

In recent months, a bunch of models were presented in the world. Some are prototypes and others have already been launched commercially.

The trend is being developed as much by traditional brands in the pickup segment, such as Toyota, Ford, General Motors and Nissan, as by companies focused on electric motors, such as Tesla, Rivian and Nikola.

The following is a review of 10 models of electric pickups announced in the world.

Rivian presented the R1T pickup. It’s the first 100% electric pickup in the United States.

It operates with electric motors located in each of its wheels, reaching a total power of 750 HP.

The motors are powered by batteries, in versions from 105 to 180 kwh.

Tesla bets on the Cybertruck.

The leading brand in electric vehicles competes in the pickup segment with a fully electric pickup truck, which has an avant-garde design.

General Motors launched the Hummer EV, a premium 100% electric version.

It operates with three AWD electric motors and an estimated power of 1,000 HP, with 15,591 Nm of torque.

It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 3 seconds and offers a autonomy of 560 km.

Ford patented the electric F-150 pickup, a hybrid model that will feature a fuel engine to supply the batteries.

Among other innovations, it proposes the first NCM (nickel, cobalt and manganese) batteries in the world.

Toyota will launch the Hilux Hybrid in 2021, positioning its pick up in the business of new motorization models.

Nikola Motor launched the Badger model, an hybrid pickup truck, capable of running on both hydrogen (through a fuel cell system) and electricity.

Its equipment provides an autonomy of 966 km.

It will be manufactured in series by General Motors.

Lordstown Motors launched the Endurance pickup, with four electric motors located behind each wheel.

Each impeller delivers a power of 110 kW and combined, they reach 600 HP.

The Chinese brand JAC released the pick up iEV330P.

It is the first fully electric pickup to be produced on a large scale in the world (is already available in Brazil).

It features a 150 HP engine and a set of batteries with a capacity of 67.2 kWh, which provides an autonomy of 320 km.

Nissan prepares the release of the Frontier e-Power pickup.

The new line will include hybrid and 100% electric versions.

Great Wall joins the electric pickup market with the Wingle 7 EV.

The new model of the Chinese brand is powered by a 60 kWh lithium battery, which feeds the 207 HP electric motor.

It offers an autonomy of 300 km.
