Dutch Tractor Registrations Fell 13.6% in 2025
Annual registrations dropped to 2,188 units, marking the lowest level recorded in the Dutch market in more than a decade.

The Netherlands reported another year of declining tractor sales in 2025, extending the prolonged downturn affecting the country’s agricultural machinery market.
According to data released by Fedecom, the Dutch association representing manufacturers, importers and distributors of agricultural technology, total tractor registrations reached 2,188 units during the year, down 13.6% from 2,531 units reported in 2024.
The result marked the weakest annual performance recorded since official tractor registration statistics began in the country in 2009.

The market continued its long-term downward trend
The Dutch tractor market has remained under pressure for more than a decade.
The last historical peak was reached in 2011, when registrations totaled 3,397 units.
Since then, annual registrations have declined by more than 35%, despite occasional rebounds in years such as 2017, 2021 and 2023.
The 2025 result confirmed the continuation of the structural slowdown affecting the Dutch market.
Market Context
According to the latest available brand-level data (2024), New Holland led the Dutch tractor market with a 19.6% share.
Fendt ranked second with 19.4%, closely followed by John Deere at 18.9%.
Case IH accounted for 11.6% of registrations, while Massey Ferguson, Deutz-Fahr, Valtra and Claas also maintained relevant positions within the market.
