The strong market expansion also boosted sales among the leading tractor manufacturers operating in India.
Mahindra remained the market leader, selling 34,133 units in February, a 33.7% increase compared with 25,527 units in February 2025.
The company accounted for 38.2% of total tractor sales, including:

1,647 units exported
Sonalika, another major player in the segment, reported 12,890 units sold during the month, representing the highest February sales volume in the company’s history.
Toward another record year?
If the trend observed in the first two months of the year continues, India could reach a new all-time record for tractor sales in 2026, following the 1,195,287 units sold in 2025.
The year started strongly:
January 2026: 113,210 units (+22.6% year over year)
February 2026: 89,418 units (+36.4% year over year)
The acceleration in February suggests sustained demand in the world’s largest tractor market, potentially setting the stage for another record year in the global agricultural machinery industry.
