Irish Tractor Registrations Increased 13.8% in 2025
Annual registrations surpassed the 2,000-unit threshold again, contrasting with the broader downturn across most European tractor markets.

Ireland emerged as one of the few European tractor markets to post strong growth in 2025.
According to data released by the Farm Tractor and Machinery Trade Association (FTMTA), total tractor registrations reached 2,067 units during the year, up 13.8% from 1,817 units reported in 2024.
The result contrasted sharply with the widespread declines recorded across most major European markets during the year.

Used tractor imports continued to grow
Alongside the recovery in new tractor registrations, Ireland also recorded continued growth in imported used tractors.

The trend highlights the ongoing importance of the second-hand machinery market within Ireland’s agricultural equipment sector.
