Italian Tractor Sales Increased 13.7% in 2025
Annual registrations totaled 17,573 units, ending three consecutive years of decline and marking the first market recovery since the post-pandemic downturn.

The Italian tractor market returned to growth in 2025 after three consecutive years of declining sales.
According to FederUnacoma, the Italian agricultural machinery manufacturers’ association, total tractor registrations reached 17,573 units during the year, up 13.7% from 15,450 units reported in 2024.
The recovery was supported by government incentive programs and financing mechanisms already approved for 2026, according to the association.

The market rebounded after three consecutive annual declines
Italian tractor sales reached a post-pandemic peak of 24,387 units in 2021 before entering a prolonged downturn.
Registrations declined to 20,211 units in 2022, followed by 17,613 units in 2023 and 15,450 units in 2024.
“Our sector has been affected in recent years by economic uncertainty, rising list prices caused by higher production costs, and the reduced investment capacity of agricultural businesses,” said Mariateresa Maschio, President of FederUnacoma.
According to the association, market conditions improved significantly during the second half of 2025, particularly in the final quarter of the year.
Market Context
The Italian tractor market maintains a strong presence of domestic and European manufacturers.
According to the latest available brand-level data (2024), New Holland led the market with a 17.6% share, followed by Deutz-Fahr (9.1%), Landini (7.7%), Antonio Carraro (7.5%) and Fendt (7.2%).
