Russia’s Agricultural Machinery Market Continues to Decline in 2026
Russia’s agricultural machinery industry remained under pressure in the first four months of 2026, with production falling in key equipment segments.

The downturn points to another weak year for the sector, after sales of domestically produced machinery declined 21% in 2025 compared with 2024.
Russian tractor production fell 18.8% in April compared with the same month of 2025, according to Rosstat, Russia’s official statistics agency.
Between January and April, Russia produced 1,637 tractors, down 42.7% year over year.
Key Figures
Tractor production in April 2026: -18.8% year over year
Tractor production, January-April 2026: 1,637 units
Tractor production change, January-April 2026: -42.7% year over year
Seeder production, January-April 2026: 3,069 units
Seeder production change, January-April 2026: -4.6% year over year
Sales of domestically produced machinery in 2025: -21% versus 2024
Seeders
The seeder segment also posted a decline, although less severe than tractors. Russian manufacturers produced 3,069 seeders between January and April 2026, down 4.6% from the same period in 2025.
The data confirms that the market has not yet reversed the negative trend seen in recent months. The sharp contraction in tractor output, combined with lower seeder production, suggests continued weakness in demand and a challenging outlook for Russia’s agricultural machinery industry in 2026.
