Spreaders drive half of the world’s food production
The application of fertilizers is responsible for 50% of the generation of products to feed humanity, according to a report by Yara.
Spreaders play an essential role in agricultural mechanization, because of their role in the world’s food production.
This was highlighted by Yara in a report prepared for World Fertilizer Day on October 13.
«Fertilizers are responsible for 50% of the world’s food production and are essential to achieve the Zero Hunger goal in Schedule 2030; healthy crops nourish healthy people», said Marcelo Altieri, Yara’s Senior Vice President for Latin America.
In addition, the company is launching the #YourNutritionMatters campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the important role that mineral fertilizers play in the global food security.
