Swiss Tractor Registrations Increased 3.0% in 2025
Annual registrations totaled 1,624 units, making Switzerland one of the few European tractor markets to post growth during 2025.

The Swiss tractor market closed 2025 with a modest recovery in registrations.
According to data released by SLV-ASMA, the Swiss association representing agricultural machinery manufacturers and importers, total agricultural tractor registrations reached 1,624 units during the year, up 3.0% from 1,576 units reported in 2024.
Although moderate, the increase positioned Switzerland among the limited number of European markets that managed to avoid the broader downturn affecting the region’s tractor industry in 2025.

The market remained below historical averages
Despite the recovery recorded in 2025, the Swiss tractor market remained significantly below its long-term historical levels.
According to SLV-ASMA data, registrations in 2025 were 20.2% lower than the average annual volume recorded between 2015 and 2024, which stood at approximately 2,035 units per year.
Compared with the post-pandemic peak reached in 2021, registrations remained down 28.7%.
Market Context
Fendt remained the leading tractor brand in Switzerland for the eleventh consecutive year.
The German manufacturer registered 362 units in 2025, accounting for a 22.3% market share.
John Deere ranked second with 15.0%, followed by Deutz-Fahr (12.3%), New Holland (9.9%) and Massey Ferguson (9.2%).
Claas, Lindner, Valtra, Huerlimann and Steyr also maintained relevant positions within the Swiss market.
