Global tractor sales totaled an estimated 2.2 million units in 2025, up 8% from approximately 2.03 million units sold in 2024. Worldwide industry revenue reached an estimated USD 65 billion, while global tractor exports totaled roughly USD 41.5 billion.

According to the analysis by Global Tractor Markets, Maquinac’s special section dedicated to tractor markets worldwide, the industry remains highly concentrated, with the Top 20 countries accounting for 2.02 million units, or 91.6% of total global sales.

India, China and the United States continued to dominate worldwide demand, together representing 76.6% of total unit sales in 2025. The ranking also highlights the relevance of emerging agricultural economies such as Brazil and Turkey, alongside the continued importance of mature European markets.

🇮🇳 India

India remained the world’s largest tractor market in 2025, with domestic sales totaling 1,090,281 units, up 19.8% year-over-year. The country accounted for 49.6% of total global tractor sales.

🇨🇳 China

China ranked second worldwide, with an estimated 400,000 tractors sold in 2025. Despite an 11.1% year-over-year decline, the country still represented 18.2% of global demand.

🇺🇸 United States

The United States remained the third-largest tractor market globally, with 195,857 units sold in 2025, down 9.9% from the previous year. The country accounted for 8.9% of worldwide sales.

🇧🇷 Brazil

Brazil ranked fourth worldwide, with tractor sales totaling 51,000 units in 2025, up 2.0% year-over-year. The country represented 2.3% of total global demand.

🇹🇷 Turkey

Turkey remained among the world’s largest tractor markets, despite a sharp decline in 2025. Domestic sales fell 35.5% year-over-year to 41,000 units, representing 1.9% of global sales.

🇫🇷 France

France consolidated its position as Europe’s largest tractor market in 2025, with 33,446 units sold. The market declined 14.7% year-over-year and accounted for 1.5% of global demand.

🇩🇪 Germany

Germany ranked seventh globally, with tractor sales totaling 25,711 units in 2025, down 12.2% from the previous year. The country represented 1.2% of worldwide sales.

🇷🇺 Russia

Russia recorded domestic tractor sales of 24,150 units in 2025, a decline of 31.0% year-over-year. The country accounted for 1.1% of total global demand.

🇯🇵 Japan

Japan remained one of the world’s leading tractor markets, with 24,000 units sold in 2025. Sales declined 2.0% year-over-year, while the country represented 1.1% of global volume.

🇨🇦 Canada

Canada totaled 23,246 tractor sales in 2025, down 1.0% from the previous year. The country accounted for 1.1% of global demand.

🇮🇹 Italy

Italy ranked as one of Europe’s fastest-growing tractor markets in 2025, with sales increasing 13.7% year-over-year to 17,573 units. The country represented 0.8% of global sales.

🇲🇽 Mexico

Mexico recorded tractor sales of 14,500 units in 2025, posting a 3.6% annual increase. The country accounted for 0.7% of worldwide demand.

🇪🇸 Spain

Spain posted one of the strongest growth rates among the Top 20 markets in 2025. Tractor sales rose 30.6% year-over-year to 13,511 units, representing 0.6% of global demand.

🇵🇱 Poland

Poland recorded tractor sales of 10,656 units in 2025, up 24.9% from the previous year. The country accounted for 0.5% of worldwide sales.

🇰🇷 South Korea

South Korea totaled 10,200 tractor sales in 2025, down 2.9% year-over-year. The country represented 0.5% of global demand.

🇦🇺 Australia

Australia recorded 9,521 tractor sales in 2025, a decline of 7.0% compared to the previous year. The country accounted for 0.4% of worldwide sales.

🇬🇧 United Kingdom

The United Kingdom totaled 8,791 tractor sales in 2025, down 14.2% year-over-year. The country represented 0.4% of global demand.

🇹🇭 Thailand

Thailand recorded 7,800 agricultural tractor sales (>40 HP) in 2025, up 4.0% from the previous year. The country accounted for 0.4% of worldwide sales.

🇿🇦 South Africa

South Africa posted one of the strongest annual increases among the Top 20 markets, with sales rising 19.0% year-over-year to 7,668 units in 2025. The country represented 0.3% of global demand.

🇦🇷 Argentina

Argentina remained among the world’s 20 largest tractor markets in 2025, with domestic sales totaling 6,666 units. The market declined 3.3% year-over-year and accounted for 0.3% of global sales.
