Yanmar Expands Solis Tractor Range Across Global Markets
Japanese manufacturer Yanmar is continuing to expand the international presence of the Solis tractor brand through its partnership with India-based Sonalika, in which it holds a 30% stake.

The strategy is focused on strengthening Yanmar’s position in the low-horsepower tractor segment with models tailored to regional market requirements.
Yanmar acquired its stake in Sonalika 10 years ago, adding a broad portfolio of compact and utility tractors to its global agricultural machinery business.
Brazil
Yanmar recently introduced new Solis tractors in Brazil, covering a power range from 26 HP to 105 HP.
The lineup includes both platform and cab versions. The cab-equipped models are designed to improve operator comfort in Brazil’s predominantly warm climate, where working days often extend for long hours.
Turkey
In Turkey, Yanmar expanded the Solis offering with the introduction of the new S Series, available in versions from 25 HP to 90 HP.
The launch also included narrow-cab Solis tractors in 75 HP and 90 HP configurations.
According to the company, the 75 HP version was specifically developed for vineyard applications and areas requiring intensive spraying operations.
The narrow-cab models emphasize operator comfort, cab structure, and safety features as key differentiators within the Solis range.
Market Perspective
Yanmar’s continued rollout of Solis tractors in international markets reflects growing competition in the global low- and mid-horsepower tractor segment, particularly in regions where demand is driven by specialty crops, mixed farming operations, and cost-efficient mechanization solutions.
